Intergenerational OUT for Support Services & Socializing on Capitol Hill (IOUT)
IOUT fosters intergenerational mentoring, learning & social engagement Capitol Hill (CH). As part of IOUT, Capitol Hill Village will:
- Engage city & community-wide partners to promote intergenerational learning and community services,
- Design and host programs and outreach tailored for LGBTQ seniors and youth,
- Expand social networks and social engagement among LGBTQ Srs, and
- Build a template and plan for intergenerational collaboration among LGBTQ individuals.

Out and About
Out and About connects DC LGBTQ older adults through wellness programs, cultural events and conversations designed to address the concerns within the community. It is our mission to better understand the growing needs of LGBTQ older adults through listening, creating, and delivering programming with sensitivity, knowledge, and pride.

Silver Circles are peer-led support groups for adults age 60+ who identify as LGBTQ that are offered in several locations. Silver Circles provide opportunities to connect with other LGBTQ peers, offer a safe space to talk about issues that impact you, and build support to help navigate challenges! Each group is co-facilitated by peers who identify as LGBTQ and have been trained. Each group meets for one hour twice a month. The groups are offered by Iona Senior Services and Whitman-Walker Health.
