Ms. Senior D.C. Pageant 2014

Mature women display their grace, inner beauty and talent in local pageant

WHAT/WHO:  District residents age 60 years and older will compete in the Ms. Senior D.C. Pageant 2014. The contestants will be judged on their philosophy of life, talent, evening gown and an interview. The winner of the contest will be crowned Ms. Senior D.C. 2014 and will represent the District of Columbia in the Ms. Senior America Pageant.

WHEN:  Sunday, June 29, 2014 2:30 p.m. (Doors open at 2:00 p.m.)

WHERE: University of the District of Columbia, Main Auditorium, Building 46 4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW

TICKETS: The donation for tickets is $25 and they are available in advance or at the door. A parking garage is also available on Van Ness Street, NW at a flat rate of $5 in advance.

BACKGROUND: There are six contestants that will be competing in the pageant that is held annually to select Ms. Senior D.C.  Contestants will be judged by a panel of community representatives that will be conducting interviews prior to the event. The scores from the interview will be ranked with the scores from the philosophy of life, talent and evening gown segments of the pageant.  Ms. Senior D.C. 2014 will compete among women across the country at the Ms. Senior America Pageant, October 26-30, 2014, Atlantic City, NJ.  The Ms. Senior D.C. Pageant is presented by the D.C. Seniors Cameo Club, the D.C. Office on Aging Senior Service Network and the D.C. Office on Aging.
