Kennedy Senior Wellness Center's Ribbon Cutting and Open House

The Kennedy Senior Wellness Center, formerly the Kennedy Theatre, located in Ward 4 is now the largest of the four wellness facilities for seniors in the District. Last month, many DC residents and dignitaries were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony and open house. Photos were taken by Adrian R. Reed.

Commission on Aging member Lillie Jones, Ward 4, was very instrumental in advocating for a wellness center in Ward 4. The site was a dream realized for Jones who worked with now deceased community activist Hattie Holmes.
